Spring 2026 Referee Courses in Whistler at the AVJ
To Register: Visit BC Soccer Referee Programs for information and to register.
The minimum age to become a referee is 12 years old (small sided) and 14 years old (11-a-side). * Refresher course must be done yearly.
Saturday April 11th, 2026 - Small-Sided Clinic 9:00am - 4:00pm - For new referees aged 12-13 (Participant must be 12 years old on or before December 31 of the current year). Referees completing this clinic receive Small-Sided Referee designation and are certified to officiate games up to U13.
Sunday April 12th, 2026- Entry-Level Clinic 9:00am - 4:00pm - For new referees who are aged 14 years or older (Participant must be 14 years old on or before December 31 of the current year).
Referees completing this clinic receive Youth or District designations which allows them to officiate all small-sided or full sided matches as long as the referee is two years older than the players.

The Whistler Youth Soccer Club was established in 1986 and provides affordable, recreational and competitive soccer opportunities to all ages in the community. We run programs from September to June, with the outdoor programs running at the Andrée Vajda Janyk Sports Field in Whistler’s Cheakamus Crossing neighbourhood and the indoor (winter) programs running at Spring Creek Community School.
