Phase 1 “Return to Play” plans released

Return to Play guidelines released by Soccer BC

BC Soccer has approved a plan to allow clubs like Whistler Youth Soccer Club to begin practicing again, maintaining physical distance while focusing on skills and fitness. Details of Phase 1 can be found here. Parents will receive relevant information for their children’s age groups once summer soccer programming gets underway.

WYSC will be announcing summer soccer programs spanning 14 one-hour sessions for all groups aged U12 to U18, taking place on grass at the Myrtle Philip fields. The fields will be specially marked by the municipality for Phase 1, ensuring physical distancing during practicing and warm-ups.

A program will also be offered to younger players, with the details still being finalized.

The summer program is $150 per player. Registration will open on June 20.

We hope that Phase 2 will kick in by September with regular games resuming and fewer restrictions on practices and games. Fall/Spring registration will be announced in July.
