Dear WYSC Members,
The WYSC Board are pleased to invite you to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Whistler Youth Soccer Club on Wednesday 9th May from 6-8pm

Location: Whistler Racquet Club, 4500 Northlands Boulevard, Whistler

ALL MEMBERS WELCOME – adults and kids
• Kids will be supervised and play soccer while you attend the AGM and Visioning Meetings
• Refreshments and pizza will be served
• Attendance at our AGM is a large factor considered in our BC Gaming Grant application each year – we need you to attend!
• This is your club, the Board represents all members and wants to hear from you!

WYSC is fortunate to receive grant funding for participating in this RMOW initiative. Please come out, we need your help!

This event coincides with the first day back to Saturday soccer, so our hope is that you come out before or after your games schedule – Many hands make light work and every little bit counts!

FUNCTION – U6, U8, U10 BOYS AND GIRLS
Collect bags at Re-Use It Centre exit, Function from 9am-11am and be assigned an area.
(U6 and U8 can come after practice at TC and U10 can come before practice at Bayly Park)

CREEKSIDE – U12 BOYS, U12 GIRLS, U14/16 COED
Collect bags opp. Nita Lake Lodge, Creekside from 9am-11am and be assigned an area.
(All U12 Boys, girls and Coed can come to help before heading to Pemberton for afternoon games)

Pitch In Day is followed by a BBQ at the Fire-hall in the Village from 12noon onwards – all welcome

NOTE:

  • If you can help and don’t arrive to collect bags during times listed above, please just bring your own garbage bags/shopping bags to use and look for an area that needs litter picking up.
  • Leave full bags on roadside with others that you will see in these areas.
  • Wear gloves, bring pick up sticks and dress for the weather. Bring your own shopping bags especially for kids so everyone can have a bag to work with.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the rep team players who played this past season despite the huge amounts of snow in the city!

MANY THANKS to all the coaches and managers who worked twice as hard again this year having to reschedule games that were often postponed or cancelled.

The event at Buffalo Bills was a great way to end the season with all teams together.

All teams played well and had good solid games throughout the season. Coaches were often complimented by the referees for the skill and sportsmanship the athletes showed on the field.

A special thanks to all the teams coaches and managers for their dedication to the players and WYSC, we couldn’t do it without you!

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER – This is awarded to any player on the team as voted by coaches.
The winner will have shown overall skill level improvement of their own game and effort towards the teams game, including attitude towards teammates and coaches are also taken into account. The player will have shown a consistent effort towards training and games and shown the most improvement overall.

PLAYERS PLAYER – This is awarded to any player on the team as voted by players.
The winner will have increased the impact they have on the team in a positive way the most from the beginning to the end of the season. Attitude both on and off the field and overall sportsmanship and team spirit is demonstrated by this award.

COACHES PLAYER – This is awarded to any player on the team as voted by coaches.
The winner will have had the largest impact on the team on and off the field in a positive way. Winning this award should encompass dedication to the team, putting teammates and coaches first and maximum effort by the player throughout the season.
