• Announcement from WYSC Board of Directors regarding the Annual Gala Dinner Event
NOTE: Instead of the Gala we will be arranging a series of fundraising events at Creekbread for each division individually so you can celebrate with your soccer friends and families! More details to follow…..
• Kickin’ In Schools Program
WYSC is pleased to offer the Kickin’ In Schools Program once again to Spring Creek Community School this Fall. We will also run the program at Myrtle Philip Community School for the first time. This program runs for 2 weeks in each school and exposes both teachers and children to soccer, helping them improve and learn new skills that they can take onto the pitch!
A note from SCCS Principal, Lisa Bartlett:
A huge thank you as well to the Whistler Youth Soccer Club for providing our school with soccer instruction for the next 2 weeks with Mark, one of their highly skilled and enthusiastic coaches. We are so grateful to have Mark sharing with us all of his expertise and talent. The students are so engaged and active during these sessions.
• Cross Training at Oros – Whistler Gymnastics
Many thanks to Whistler Gymnastics for having WYSC athletes participate in 3 × 1.5hr cross training sessions. Our U14 Girls Rep team was selected as they are a new team playing year round soccer in the BCCGSL (BC Coastal Girls Soccer League) this year.
This grant to Whistler Gymnastics was made possible thanks to the RBC learn to play community grant and RMOW CEP grant.
Thank you all for your generous offer to assist our athletes with such a great cross training opportunity!
